Lanco Elite | Recruiting Workshop

Welcome to the exciting and crazy world of college recruiting. As you start to work through this process, please know that any of the Lanco Elite coaches are available and willing to help guide you through this process, but it is important that you, the PLAYER, DO THE WORK!

To the PARENTS: Throughout the coming weeks and months it will be very tempting for you to take control and do the work of pursuing a collegiate lacrosse career on behalf of your daughter... it must be her doing the work! Support them as they prepare packets and contact coaches, and steer them in the right direction if they seem to wander off course, but let them make the contacts and follow through- this can will create a relationship between your daughter and the college coaching staff!

To the PLAYERS: Girls, this is time for you to get up and get to work! After reading through this information, you'll have no excuse for not knowing what you need to do. If you love this sport and you want to continue your lacrosse career during your college years, there is a place for you to play on some team at some school- its up to you to find it! Please remember: this is YOUR thing, not your parents, not your coaches- its YOUR responsibility to make this college thing happen. This is your life, your lacrosse career, your future and you need to take ownership of it right now.

Please know that we are here to do whatever you need: answer questions, write letters of recommendations, talk to coaches at tournaments, help you to know what to say to coaches... and whatever else might come up! This is one of our passions- to see you grow in your lacrosse abilities and to work with you to make your dream of playing collegiate lacrosse come true.

Good luck and work hard! This is going to be an experience unlike any other.... :)
